hi, I bought stuff from ebay a lot of times pero nung nasa canada pa ako, ok naman all of my transactions went flawlessly. initially i paid by money order but it was a hassle then i tried paypal that service was much better. you just have to register a credit card with them. but since umuwi ako di ko pa ulit nagamit yung ebay and paypal. but sa experience ko safe naman.

oo nga pala, part of the hassle is the credit card ur using itself as diff cards have diff treatments for purchases made internationally specially in the currency conversion sphere. so be wary about that also and verify first how your credit card company might scheme you......... they might even charge you transcation fees for international purchases or billings

just curious, na-charged na sa credit card mo yung order mo? Yup, confirmed, processed and shipped according to CD connection. Got the email confirmation. They were already in my last credit card bill. Checked post office, my name is not on their list.

in all likelihood, na nenok na ng mga taga post office yan ;D that's why i'd rather choose the door to door shipment option rather than coursing it thru the post office. you may be paying a premium for the door to door delivery but you'll be avoiding customs duties and other taxes levied by postal officials at their own discretion.

Oh well, will try the door-to-door service next time. That's about 4T down the drain

Oh well, will try the door-to-door service next time. That's about 4T down the drain Sir, wag ka munang mawalan ng pag-asa..usually it takes 3 - 6 weeks kapag via post office yung shipment.. yung DVD ko almost 2 months ang inabot nung makuha ko...and take note...tatlo na palang notice ang napadala sa akin (based on their record.... and to think eh yun pa lang ang unang notice na na-recieve ko) na may parcel daw ako sa post office.. that means if they didn't get a reply from me after the third notice eh sa kanila na yung parcel ko...pag-pipyestahan na nila yun...

another site is www.bidpay.com... I have tried and used it at it works great... Bidpay has poor customer service. I had a problem with them last year as the seller didn't receive the money order from Bidpay within the usual 10 banking days. Bidpay was not cooperative and did not care. They did not respond when i asked them to trace the what happened to the money order or prove that they have truly mailed it out. However, they were very fast when i asked that the money order be cancelled. Kapal talaga ng mukha kasi binalik yung pera ko less some expenses nila [Eh malay ko ba kung talagang na-process/mail yung money order ko]. With regards to shipping from the US, IME the cheaper ones would be via USPS. if its a reg airmail then it usually takes about 2 weeks. if you want it a bit faster then try mo USPS Global Priority. TAX. In QC Post Office, napapkiusapan ang customs. Again, IME if the declared amount of the package is less than USD60 eh hindi na tina-tax. RISK Thats normal. A good way to feel secured is to have the goods insured. Kaso lang if you have it insured then you would like it to be insured with the right amount which means underdeclaring the invoice [for customs pruposes] is not a good idea. INGATZ

Experience on buying stuff online? Arrrrrrrggggghhhhh!!!!!!...... based on my experience last month, bought a couple of 200 gram LPS from acousticsounds Shipping and handling : great service since they shipped the package via fedex. took them only 3 days to ship the 2 LPS (nice ;D ). well, of course, add another day before they ship your order, for cc verification. Risk : I felt confident since i was able to get a lot of good feedback from friends and relatives living abroad who where able to order from acousticsounds. Taxes and Duties : Arrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!....... nuts!!!.....f**k!!!!!!...... Customs charged me a whopping 4 figures!!!!.... I could've gotten another 200 gram LP for the charges!......... What pisses me off is that it is so "obvious" that alot of people tend to pocket the money which was really meant for the government!.......

i know there are a lot of reputable websites around, but i've only trusted amazon.com so far.
there are so many good stuff from ebay, but the risk seems not worth it for me.
another way is to contact an AUTHORIZED DEALER indicated in the product's website. i did that when purchasing my speakers. initial correspondence was via e-mail and fax, and i gave the dealer a call just before paying through bank transfer. after confirming the transfer, they sent my stuff via courier, and it arrived promptly in 48 hours.
