Wow very nice turntables sir... eenie mini moe... gusto ko ung itsura nung lab 80 . Can you elaborate on that unit sir? The Lab-80 is a record changer that first came out in 1964. The design was patterned after the original Garrard transcriptors, although the bearing is different than that of the 301 and 401. The wooden arm is not solid wood since underneath that wood sheet is a heavy mass steel shaft. I got mine mint in a box, including cut-out drawings for the plinth, spare headshells, spare cartridge, another spindle for record changing and manuals, never been used nor mounted on a plinth. You normally find such units in consoles way back in the 60's and 70's. I just added the second arm on a plinth that i designed ( bara-bara ), and had it cut-out by a local sash factory. I brought it to a very good friend last Saturday, and he'll be making a much better plinth than the one you see in the picture. Cheers.

The wet look finish needs to be appreciated up close. The reflections of objects on the lacquered plinth gives you a clue as to how smooth and shiny the finish is...I can see sleepless nights of expectation for you... ;D

Why are they “keepers” for me? 1. I like them better than the rest. I like what I hear, see and feel. 2. Historical. Having an equipment with notable historical background makes you feel that you yourself is a part of that history. Good reviews. 3. Value. You have to ask you’re self why a lot of people are still buying this equipment for a lot of money. while you got them at a bargain price ;D ..... Odd man out: BOM tube Pre AmplifierMy current preferred set up is hybrid. Tube cdp, tube pre amp, solid state amp. Replace the BOM preamp with SS unit and the magic is gone. It has 4 x 6922 tube and toroid transfo. Its been with me for quite sometime now and I’m sure it will stay for a little more. Made in China. No history, no review. Cant even find an internet address. Not sure how much was its srp nor how much it would cost today. But I like what I hear, see and feel.. Hi Sir Southpeak, Very nice collections, Sir! Im sure it is still growing ;D. Your BOM Tube Preamp caught my attention. A friend of mine kasi before caught some tube preamp in Raon before, branded as Kone. According to him, may mga BOM branded tube preamp and amps din then. By the time, i went there, wala naman akong makita. I think, this happened medyo sometime ago.Is this still available locally? salamat.
