:-/Hi guys, i'm a newbie in this expensive hobby..... just want to know if its better to invest on a generic raon integrated amp (promac, sakura, konzert, magnum, targa, etc.) or with a 2nd hand branded amp available in pier (kenwood, onkyo, yamaha, pioneer, harman, etc.) I'm planning to invest more money in the speakers than with the amp because I believe that the speakers will ultimately define the quality of the sound, am I right??? What's better, a generic raon amp paired with an entry-level set of wharfedale/jbl/infinity/fostex/mission bookshelf speakers or a pre-owned pier amp paired with dai-ichi/ crown/ konzert tower speakers??? Are pier amps still reliable or do they need constant repair/tweaking??? Tumatagal pa ba ng taon ang galing sa pier??? Does anyone here had experiences with generic raon amps, ok ba yung mga ito or waste of money lang??? I'm on a tight budget and wants a value for money entry-level stereo set-up that will suit my auditory needs, more on clarity than power. Really need your help guys, thanks!!! God bless!!!

Bro would go for surplus amp in pier than getting raon brand amp.. and your right that better give more emphasis on you speaker that any other gears in the chain for me the speaker is your singer kahit maganda lyric and arrangement ng kanta kung singer mo bagito then walng life yun music mo sayang.. as for surplus amp reliability 50-50 kaya parang suwertehan lang before got myself 2 surplus amp and from the day i bought them till sold them eh running and providing beautiful music. tsaka some surplus amp are high end models during there time kaya soundwise malupit..go to amp thread dun ang mga master.
Happy audition sir.
