I am considering changing my present composite connection to this, however thought it has the component connectors, the tv is not progressive scan capable, 480i (interlace) lang e d 480p.
would there be any significant improvement in the video quality or would it be better to stick to y present connection.
whats the most value for money component IC in the market right now?
Do brand still matter?
Thanks.

i recently got hold of a philips 29" real flat kasi (from my previous 21" philips din, which sadly do not have the component inputs), e since it has the component, i got to thinking why not use it.
vince,

JAPAN CABLES (RED, GREEN, BLUE), DIY, gold plated jacks, 75 ohmS, 2 meters
being sold for 750 bucks.

ok sir, thnx. nga pala just like the s-vid ba, the tv will automatically detect the component connection? no need to set it na? depende sa tv at sa dvd player, usually pag plug mo ng component - yung isang mode: vid1, vid2, etc magiging comp tapos sa dvd player kailangan mo rin iset yung output mode...
