Any 602 S3 users in here? Compared with the other systems you have used, how would you rate the B&Ws? I plan to use my existing Energy Take 5.2 system now only for HT and concentrate on Stereo for music (which I'm more into). I might get a good deal on a pair of 602 S3 or the 603, so I'm thinking about getting either of these. The store which carries the B&Ws also have some Tannoys and JBLs around. I might just give them a listen too if ever. I wanted to audition the Mordaunt Shorts but their dealer here sucks quite efficiently. Thanks for any input.

am presently using 602s3 as my fronts & LCR60 for my center in my HT set-up...... and just got this pair of gorgeously looking CDM1 SE (thru the kindness of boss audioslave) intended for my minimalist audio set-up:

one my earliest B&W speakers was DM-17, a bookshelf type and the first to have a tweeter mounted on top way back in early '80s. someone bought it at a very high price at that time since it was rare item here. in late '80s, i got a B&W DM-100i from a shop in Tottenham Court Road (London) for an amount equivalent to P4K - exchange rate then was about P45 to 1 British pound - got it at 20% discount since it won't be covered by warranty. someone offered P6.5K for it a few weeks after i arrived, so off it went. the bottom line is that B&W speakers are very good and command comparatively high re-sale value/used price in the local market. reason why i don't have one in my collection now is that everytime i got a pair bought from outside (there were few Brit brands distributed brand new during those days), someone would buy it from me. anyway, for what it's worth, here's how the Japs compare popular brands and models of speakers: tukipie.net/audio/SPEAKER_jenre.htm

yup 302s even made it as Editor's choice in Stereophile, quite a feat for a $200 speaker

The first B&W speaker I heard was an 801 (R2D2 look-alike ;D). After that I bought my first B&W which was a DM110.
