Got a copy of the Life's a Joke cd of The Speaks, an all-pinoy band in the US that popularized the song HIGH. Their style is almost the same as the band Creed. Akala mo hindi mga pinoy. Personal favorite is Prelude to life, a mellow rock instrumental...superb. The band is composed of 5 guys namely, rafael toledo - vocals, jerry delino - bass, johnny abelende - drums, siegfred fuster - lead guitar, and archie dela cruz - guitar.
Ther are four bonus acoustic tracks of Life's a Joke, Trippin', Shine on Me and of course, High.
if you are seriously looking for a great pinoy rock band of international standard, you may include The Speaks in your list. This band really rocks!
Two thumbs up.
Rock on!!!

Hey punk kid! great to hear from you again! after a long hybernation! yun nga pala, i second the motion...maganda yung version nila ng Bizarre Love Triangle....super! dati, inis na inis ako sa Bizarre kasi nakakasawa na...laging pinatutugtog at sari saring versions ang lumabas na di lasting ang style, pero yung sa The Speaks matindi! kakaiba ang rendition.
the good thing about The Speaks, parang pinaghalong Creed at Pearl Jam ang style....ang galing. They really deserve every inch of that award in the International Battle of the Bands.
oist! miss ko na rin si wanderlust. :-)
