I took home a pair of 70's B&O Beovox 4802 speakers and a Beomaster 4000 receiver.
They sounded very well together. Tuner is not working though. Likewise the front panel lights are off. But i hooked up a Sony CD Player, inserted a Redentor Romero CD and was very amazed at the sound ouput. The highs and mids are very detailed. You can hear romero's violin bow scratching the violin wires.
Hmm. Weird speaker inputs...I'll post pictures later. Tuner is only up to 104. Hahah and my favorite station is 104.3!!!
Weird phono inputs... hmmm. all inputs are weird. not your standard RCA jack outlets. But the output more than makes up for the non-standard connections.
The receiver has options for a 2nd pair of speakers called ambio. The ambio subtracts the left channel from the right and the resulting signal is outputted into the ambio speaker channels. Neat huh?

That's a show piece that used to cost a fortune back in the '80s. That B&O speaker output option is a variation of the Hafler matrix, which produces multi-channel sound using only a stereo amp capable of 4-ohm load. All you need is to cross-connect the speakers to have a simulated multi-channel output.

Thanks for the Info Sir Sandawa. The recevier sounds very good but it badly needs a checkup. Mukhang may loose connections/knobs. The speakers are okay.
Its a pity we didn't get to meet when I was in Davao last month. Maybe next time. I hardly got out of the hotel.
regards, Foo

Had you texted me, kahit alas 12 ng gabi pupuntahan kita sa Marco Polo. That's just a block away from where I'm staying.
Postscript:
I just checked online auction site records and found these:
1.) Orion's current used unit quote (US) for your Beomaster is $175 2.) Yahoo Japan's average is roughly $600
