Hey guys, i bought this bookshelf at Market, Market yesterday which i think is a good candidate for an LP rack. I measured the height and depth of the side shelves and thought that this can be used to store my LPs. Although the depth is short by about 3/4 of an inch, it's not much of a big deal to me. It is made of laminated MDF, and i should say that the built is very good, considering that they are selling it for only 2,450. You have to assemble it yourself, and i had to ask some help from my 8 year old son. ;D It took us about 3 hours to put it up. The unit comes in one long box, which i managed to squeeze into my car. You have to recline the backrest of the front passenger seat, and let the long box rest on that seat, extending all the way to the back. I had to ask the wife to seat behind me, P___ I__, nagmukha akong driver. Wala pa namang tint kotse ko. Okey lang, matagal na naman akong mukhang driver eh. ;D ;D ;D WARNING!!! Suot kayo ng supporter, mabigat yung kahon, baka lumusot..... I'm not good in calculating, but i think i can already store all my LPs in this rack. ;D See for yourself:

Diego who's leaving this weekend for a one-week R&R in Nagoya and Kyoto asked me to post photos of his LP storage gadgets. "Bought these at ACE hardware . These come in sets of 2's and 3's and stackable so you can add more as your record collection grows. Cost is around P750 for a set of 2. Cheaper to buy 3 sets of 2's than 2 sets of 3's." pretty simple, but very practical and cost efficient especially for stingy guys like me. (anyway, gusto kong pasalubong 'yung pinakamahal at pinaka mabigat na Accuphase power amp - yung halos hindi mabuhat ng 4 na tao - hi hi hi!) here's my disorganized analog album corner for a contrast. got 4 white box cabinets from my old video/computer shop (that got bankrupt 5 years ago), which can store up to 400 albums per cabinet. 3 boxes were eaten by white ants in barrio Cabantian where my tiny house (empty since 2001) is located. so, only one box remains while the rest of my roughly 1K albums are stored on plastic boxes (up to 150 LPs each), very mobile and practical, since i have 5 active turntables in three locations here in my apartment unit at the heart of the city.

bibili rin ako niyang storage squares mo, para ma-ilabas ko yung natitira kong laser discs. kasi ngayon, nasa loob lahat ng white box cabinet, ang priority siyempre LPs since i'm more into audio than video. hirap kunin ng LDs ngayon pag gusto kong gamitin. mga 500 ang naiwan sa akin.
OT: sir, check out DeOxit baka merong Japanese version. BTW, dami nga palang Pinoy sa Nagoya, nasa JICA center at Toyota plant. nakalimutan ko, if you're going to Kyoto, which was Japan's old capital city, you might want to proceed to Nara, less than an hour away, ang gandang lugar nun. magdala ka ng high-capacity MMC for your camera, clickers' paradise yang Kyoto-Nara area.
if you're leaving tomorrow and you want to pick up your Adcom this afternoon, just text me.
