I've read some thread that tube has been tested 88/90 or 92/88 for a dual triode using a Hickok Military Tube Tester Can I used an ordinary multi-tester and get same reading? I've already test some tubes for their emission only. Can you please enlighten me. Can you recommend a good tube tester. I have some tester that read only: Good, ?Question Mark? and Bad. Many thanks

Using a tube tester might be the most accurate way. The 88/90 indicates the reaminaing life of the tube. As you use it the number will drop gradually.

yes i agree with nirvana, a tube tester is the only way you check your tubes' remaining life.
using an ordinary multi-tester (ohmmeter function), you could only test weather your tube's filament of heater is still intact or not... that is if you know your tube's pin configuration... which pins are for the filament...
