Hi, I'm a newbie home theater enthusiast. I just bought a Yamaha receiver RXV450 and am planning to upgrade my speakers. My budget is 25K. I'm looking for 5.1 speakers with the best value for money or bang for the buck that is available locally.
Which brand would you recommend and where can I buy them?
Thanks

I also read that Ushers, Aarum Cantus, Monitor Audio Bronze series, infinity primus series, infinity beta series, mission are recommended. Does anyone know if these models' price (5.1 + sub) would be within my budget?

Does anyone know if these models' price (5.1 + sub) would be within my budget? is your 25k budget final? are you planning to get a set or "chopseuy"/combi for speakers? The brands that you mentioned might eat-up your whole budget leaving you with only a pair of front speakers and a center speaker. Well, if you're really into those brands, better extend your budget. if you're going for the later, better get the same brand and model for the front and center speakers then a lower end series for the surround speakers or even a different brand. for sub, you can get the ever reliable dq12 or the us audio which is much cheaper than those china made speakers since you'll also get the same quality. For the fronts and center, what is important is timbre matching. you should get the same brand and series for this. for best value and "bang for the buck" get wharf 9.4 and 9c then get a pair of diamond 8.1s' for the surround. save up for the sub muna, as you might have problems with overpowering bass if you decide to get the 9.4 or the likes, especially when your going to place it in a small room. chief, hinay-hinay lang sa pag buo ng HT. hindi mo makukuha s aisang bagsakan yan especially if you're on a tight budget.

I can edit my budget to around 30k. i prefer yung combi one brand na because i'm lazy. but i really appreciate your advice. it's concise and direct. i'll look for those models and brand. btw, where can i get the dq12?
