Hello to everyone! Ako seguro ang pinakabagong member nitong forum. Presently, I'm somewhere in the middle east bilang " bagong bayani daw? ". Marami na rin akong sinalihang forum about Audio/Video to share, also to gain knowledge about this hobby.Nag browse na rin ako sa PinoyDVD pero they talked more on movies which I easy get bored reading their posts. Accidentally, I got this site which is more interesting sa kabila,(maybe some of you are also a member). Nakakalaway ang mga audio set-up nyo. I felt that my system is miles behind sa mga gears nyo. All of my gears are solid state 10 years old and got them 2nd hand, except the latest DD/DTS THX processor which I purchased from US and my main Speakers. Tube gears not available in my location, has to be ordered from Europe or US. Also my set-up is not properly laid out caused of limited space. 2-bed apartment rent is = to decent condo unit dyan sa atin, w/ secu pa. Kahit ala akong magarang Audiophile set-up like most of you, I wish that I'm welcome to join your forum. Here's list of my gears: Nasa pinas: Denon = AVR2802 Denon = DCM280 multidisc player Panasonic = DVD player XBOX & PS2 = Gameconsole Infinity = Reference 11 Paradigm = CC-350 Technics = Dipole SR Technics = turntable (forgot model number) Definitive = Prosub80 Cables = Monster cables and some home brewed ic Present Set-up: B&K = TX4430 - 3ch X200w/c power amp THX ( 2-units ) B&K = ST1400 - 2ch X105w/c power amp B&K = st1200 - 2ch X60 w/c power amp B&K = AVP3000 - AV prologic processor THX B&K = Reference 30 - AV DD/DTS 7.1 processor THX Nakamichi = OMS-4 - CD player Luxman = K-15 - Tapedeck Pioneer = CT-W404R - Tapedeck Pioneer = EX9000 - dynamic expander Linear Audio = TD 4001 - TT w/ SME 3009 arm, ortofon cartridge (waiting for preamp) Philips = DVD player XBOX = Musikbank/Gameconsole Paradigm = Studio Ref 60 V2 Paradigm = CC-370 V3 Wharfedale = Diamond 9.5 Wharfedale = Diamond 6 (original handmade in UK) Infinity = HPS-250 sub Kimberkable = 8pr front L/R Kimberkable = 4pr center Kimberkable = silver IC and dig. coax AR flat = Surround L/R Straightwire = pre-amps, dig. coax (DVD-preamp) Monster cable = dig. oprical (Xbox-preamp) Homebrewed = other IC Powercables = Homebrewed (shunyata braid design) APC = power strip w/ surge protection Wiremold = power strip tripp lite = surge supressor Firrite clamps = noise filter all around power/analog IC [Other link was canceled due to difficulty to load] Modified for Direct View: B&K Power Amps B&K Family New Arrival Closer Look Past - Present Simple set-up (A/V) Audio Linear TD 4001 with Hood Hood Up Other side References

Hi audiojunkie. I saw your setup sa Audio Review. I like your Turntable. What cart are you using on it? Is it direct drive of belt-driven? If you are wondering why there are only a few who are logged in at a given time, it's because only a few know this site. Most of the members here are also members of pinoydvd. Saan ka nga pala sa Middle East? I have 2 brothers who are based in Jeddah. Huwag ka mag-alala, masaya naman dito eh!!! Welcome to Pinoy Audio!! BTW, how do we call you, Ramon or Mon???

Hello audiojunkie!
Grabe! Dami mo gear! I noticed ang dami mong B&K stuff. I used to own a B&K ST140 power amp around 15 years ago. That was and still is one of my favorite solid state power amps.
I'm an analog addict, and I must say you have one very cool looking turntable!
Don't worry, its not having cost no object gear, or a cost no object listening room, its all about having fun in this hobby of ours.

Hi, To date siguro ako pinaka bagong member ng pinoy-audiophile. Well to tell you something about me… I’m a 3rd generation audiophile in our family, that is if you could consider me one because most of my equipment I only inherited from my dad and lolo. I’ve been building amps since my 2nd year highschool days and I’ve seen both my dad and lolo tinker with their equipment during those years. I’d aquired a fairly decent set of audio gear during mg collage years, which was a diy 20watt per channel integrated amp which I tweeked a lot, then a linear tracking sansui turntable which was a gift from my dad, an old akai cassette deck which I used extensively to copy my favorite tracks which I played on my sony walkman, an am/fm turner which I built from raon and last my lolo’s Philips 10” fulllrange speakers with enclosures with the brand name… hhhhmmmm Norelco-Nocturn if my memory serves me right. The set-up was not much but it gave me countless hours of entertainment which annoyed our neighbors not mentioning my mom’s displeasure. After collage I was fascinated with multi-channel sound reproduction which I only got to experience with my dad’s new laser disc player and a/v surround sound amp. Still didn’t have the cash for the gear my dad has, I had to settle with my hifi-vhs and beta players another addition to my equipment which was given to me by my dad. Then came cd and vcd which I could now afford… sa wakas it’s within my budget range… ha ha ha! Then dvd… by this time both my dad and lolo had passed away to the ultimate audiophile place in the heavens… so I inherited most of their equipment… Still fascinated with multi-channel sound reproduction, I connected separate integrated amps to my 5.1 dvd player and gradually tweeked it to its optimum performance… well to my taste at least. Each has its own equalizer. I enjoyed watching thx and dolby digital 5.1 concerts plus the thrill of surround encoded movies… until one day the old analog thrill came back to me. Vynil is now my old-new passion. Naku haba na pala nito. One more thing nga pala… I had a tube ampex tone control preamp with 2 mono block ampex tube power amp from my lolo. Only one of the mono block power amps was working… the ourput transformer burnt down. I wrapped them individually in plastic bubble wrap to be repaired later. Stored it under our staircase (like the room of harry potter in one of the early potter movies). Before Christmas I went to check it out because it would be a nice project for the season… to my horror wala na siya! Nakaka inis tinapon ng nanay ko nang nag labas sila ng Christmas décor. Akala niya basura na… anyway yan lang muna po. Merry Christmas to all. Hope to join you in the yearly audiophile events next year.

Thanks zetroce 'Sorry but I'm not based in Saudi . . ." My friends call " Mon " . Actually,This TT I got very cheap from garage. It's belt drive made by HIFI dynamics, unit is made in Belgium and tone arm by SME 3009 from UK fitted with ortofon cartridge. I already replaced its belt and stilus which I ordered from LPgear.com (replacement parts not available here). :(Since, my B&K preamps does not have Phono input I'm looking at Ebay or Audiogon for best deal. Thanks for your interest.. Will post again once I've done the setup. ;D I hope you dont mind kung mag-suggest ako sayo about phono stage: try NorthStar Design Phonostage from Italy, minsan makakatyempo ka nito sa ebay, im using it with my Avid Volvere Sequel Turntable and SME 309 Tonearm with MusicMaker MKIII Moving Iron Cartridge.
