review naman sir dyan kung anong difference nga 2. thnx. Bro, RXV440 maganda na tumunog. I had the chance to pair it with different speakers, like the Yamaha 7390, JBL scs 178 series, and JBL LX 2000 series. As what Yamaha is known for, it provides good HT performance with regards to details in sound. Not so good with 2 ch audio though, but that's just me. Price wise okay sya for starters. I decided to upgrade to RXV1400 because I wanted to invest on a gear that would stay with me for a long time. Features that attracted me to this unit are the ff: 1. YPAO - As some comments would say that its not accurate, considerably much easier to setup than having to listen to test tones the whole night trying to match speaker level and tonal quality. As per experience, usefull itong feature. 2. Sever (7) Band Equalizer for all channels. For fine tuning tonal quality. For me, I just let YAPAO do everything. The 440 only had it for the center spkr, I think. 3. Choice of cut off frequency for sub woofers. Usefull din to kasi I remember not being satified with the LF roll-off of my main spkrs going to the sub using my 440. Parang tapos na yung LF ng mains ko, di ko pa rin marining yung transition from my sub. Fixed kasi sa 90 Hz ang 440, while yung 1400 had 40, 60, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 160, and 200 Hertz. 4. THX Select certification. Although in some threads may controversy dito. Sa akin, yung guarantee ng third party on the performance of the gear, at hindi lamang yung claims ng manufacturer, somehow removes doubts and unsettling feelings about the product. 5. More power at 110 watts/ch. Not exactly the power output in reality, but it would definitely yeild more than the 440 for sure. At 15.5 kilograms ba naman eh, believable na. End result is much more dynamic sound. In fact I'm using the LX2000 speakers with it rated at 6 ohm at 89db, I usually never go more than 25db at the volume, which is a little below the 1/2 marker bar. 6. 192KHZ/24bit D/A Converter, I think it has much better audio that 440 and much bigger sound stage and imaging. I remember this in movies like U571, where the depth charges seem to be exploding around you; in Master and Commander: The far side of the world, pag nag tatakbuhan yung crew on the deck of the ship it would seem may nag tatakbuhan din sa second floor ng bahay namin, no kidding. Galing! 6. Plus some good review as well, like this one: www.audioenz.co.nz/2004/yamaha_rx-v1400.shtml7. For me its 2 ch stereo performance is still lacking. That's why I went for a separate integrated amp instead. Sir Narayan, this is not new actually. It has been with me for almost a year now. Dami na yata nyan.
