bro, tube buffer yata yung kay mang rod...thanks! Yup it's a "Tube Buffer" only, you can put a volume control it become a line stage pre-amp. I wonder why they call it D.A.C. (Dak) ? ;D D.A.C. is Digital to Analog Converter. it should accept digital signal on either Coaxial or Fiber Optics connections.

bro, tube buffer yata yung kay mang rod...thanks! On what I saw, tube buffer is different from D.A.C. Yung D.A.C. oval ang shape looks like a car speaker, and yes the only input is digital and output is through RCA jack.

Yung D.A.C. oval ang shape looks like a car speaker - You mean 'yung D.A.C. na nakita mo nakakabit sa oval shape na speaker frame? Well nakita ko siya using 12ax7 na tube, the original owner of this thing call it DAC but it's not a DAC it's a "Tube Buffer" actually. The input is analog & output is analog. (Gawa ni Mang Rod) In my opinion, you can only use tubes on Analog part of DAC, it requires "Chip" (Integrated Circuit) that converts digital Signal (Binary) to Analog (Sounds) then amplified by an OP-Amp (Tube can use as replacement) prior to the Power Amplifier.
